Boutiques can be said as the business revolution of dress industry providing quality dresses related to every event (bridal, occasional, party etc) and their main motto is that you should look gorgeous wearing comfortable outfits. One of the boutique is discussed below and it’s influence on society is discussed that how it affected genders.

This dress boutique is located in Hamza town, near HMC, Taxila. It deals with variety of dresses for humans with almost all ages, specifically focusing on young generation. There are many other boutiques and shops in surrounding areas like NawabAbad, Mughal Market etc, but reason for selecting this one is that it is situated right among community area. If I talk about myself, I generally don’t like to visit markets much and feel uncomfortable there due to very much crowd and disturbance. Also, dealing with different shopkeepers is the other hurdle that people face. So personally I’m very much happy with it as I can get my required stuff in easy way.
If I talk about general perception/thinking of males in our society/family, they are pretty conservative in terms of sending their females to markets/institutions. This boutique have almost solved girl’s problem, as it has good quality products available in all sized and for both genders. Now if females want to buy something for them, their little children or for anyone else, they can easily get required dress from boutique that is next to their house. They had to get permission to go to markets before but now they are satisfied as their elders don’t complain much about safety issues. Women can either go alone or with their husbands and both will feel comfortable during selection of dresses and during price dealing process.
Above paragraph had some advantages that women got due to having this boutique in their street, and it also looks like that women are getting more from it than men. Women think that now they have good shop next to their door and they can buy any dress anytime and spend as many bucks as they want on dresses. But according to me, Men are getting more advantage than women. There are different factors elaborating that actually male’s problem has been solved with it. One of them is that, males can now save some more bucks than before. This may sound funny but reality is, when women go to market for buying one dress, they aren’t actually going for buying just one dress. Suppose if they bought a dress of 5000, then how can it’s possible that they don’t buy Jewellery, footwears, cosmetics and other stuff. One dress with cost about 10,000 (including price of other things). So economic wise, boutique in street is very much less expensive than boutique in market. Not because of less price per dress, but due to less expenses overall.
One more advantage of having this kind of shop in street is Safety of both genders. Specially women feel secure in their community than in market. Every other person in market stares to every women from top to bottom. Some of them even take advantage of crowd and began to do immature/cheap things with women. In this scenario, women are likely to be safe because every person in street knows who live in their street and who is outsider. People know and respect each other’s females if they are in one community. Shop head is also a well respected guy due to his religious activities and people trust on his economic/social model of living in society and bargaining with customers.
This shop has also given some job opportunities to some of the local people. Two shopkeepers work there and they also belong to this community. There is also one guy for delivery purposes that if some order is picked from surrounding areas, then he will deliver it. One of his future plan is to provide training to females in dress designing and help them in earning some bucks. There are also some vocational centers that helped women in getting good skills and earn on their own.
Some of people are following him and they have started to put up their own business inspiring by this boutique. That will give this area a little boost economically. And with good amount of money in hand, one can think about having all the required facilities at least. Economy is the only reason behind every movement and every change. So it’ll be good for this society if people are taking initiative and developing their own business. Own business will create jobs rather than finding jobs, also it’s one of the parameter that make economy strong with better lifestyle
This paragraph can be taken as a criticism on the impact of it on society. Everyone watches Indian/Hollywood daramas/movies etc. specially women follow their dressing and boys follow their habits and try to be like hero by watching their movies. Now the problem is, not everyone can afford to purchase this kind of products. Boutique like this is a clear message to everyone that come and buy (like it’s most important thing in their life and they can’t survive without it). Those who have enough resources can easily buy it surely, but those who are not capable enough to follow this wealthy lifestyle, live their life under sense of deprivation. Children of poor people watch dress shop daily and being attracted by every dress, and when they get to know that they don’t have enough resources to buy it, their habits start changing and sense of deprivation kills them day by day. In this context, we can take it as a minus.
Overall this shop has given society a positive contribution in terms of economy, jobs, safety and trust. Everything has it’s pros and cons but overall, people of this era are pretty satisfied with it’s dealing and other things.
